I have a Gateway 2000 486/33 with a Phoenix BIOS. Linux works fine except
for one thing: I can't reboot. CTRL-ALT-DEL invokes shutdown, and shutdown
invokes "reboot". "reboot" always fails, either locking up the system or
scrambling my CMOS setup (or both). It has worked fine, though, on all AMI
BIOS machines I've tried, so I think the reboot program simply doesn't work
on Phoenix.
I posted a month or so about this and got a bunch of "me too's" but no actual
answers. If I get an answer, I'll post the solution.
