Hello all,
I have a slight problem with linux-99.10.alpha...it compiled fine but
after rebooting, I got :-
* You have a bad 386/387 coupling.^MMath coprocessor using exception 16
* error reporting.
Partition check:
hda: hda1
EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked file system, running e2fsck is
recommended
[EXT II FS 0.3, 93/04/22, bs=1024, fs=1024, gc=16, bpg=8192, ipg=2000]
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
* INET: Warning: old-style ioctl(IP_SET_DEV) called!
* INET: Warning: old-style ioctl(IP_SET_DEV) called!
* INET: Warning: old-style ioctl(IP_SET_DEV) called
The * lines are bothering me. Firstly, what does 386/7 coupling mean??
I've got 486DX2-50.
Secondly, with the INET: stuff, I tried recompling /etc/config.c but
couldn't find sock_ioctl.h (meant to be in /usr/include/linux). I
noticed that the previous version of kernel pl9(and its Alpha) had
sock_ioctl.h...
Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in adv.
