Subject: HELP!! rlogin problem!

Hi all ye netters,

Second try for a boring problem! I have the following configuration:
Partner 386/40 with 20 Mb, lots of harddisk, WD8003 ethernet, ET4000 HiColor
SVGA and NEC Multisync 4FG. I run Linux 99pl8 without any problem. Confi-
gured double swap space of 2 x 16Mb.
I also configured my network. Connected to this machine is a Silicon Graphics
Indigo and 4 DECstations. (Therefor I need Linux: good way to run my X11 apps
from the Indigo with display on my PC...).
Almost everything for the network is running great EXCEPT the rlogind. When
this daemon starts up, it says:

rlogind: Can't get peer name of remote host: Invalid argument.
rlogind: Can't get peer name of remote host: Bad file number.

and that's it. Well it is very boring to use telnet on hosts that are so
close that you would use rlogin for connection but I have to (including
login etc).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANY hints on this problem are very much appreciated.
I don't want to continue with TELNET when RLOGIN should be possible. Oh yes,
the Unix workstations have no problem with rlogin from one to another. It's
just the Linux PC that can't start the rlogind and thus disables rlogin.

Thanks in advance for ALL your hints and tips.
