of well-documented sample files are greatly appreciated.

this is the readme
=========================================
Config 0.1
What is the config package:
Config is a package containing sample configuration files for Linux and
X11 plus a little tutorial on how to use them.
Sample files include .less (with cursor and page keys,) .emacs,
.openwin-menu, ...
Why I wrote this package:
A while ago I got fed up with having to search for the various configuration
files scattered all over the directory tree. So I started making a directory
from where I could access all these files conveniently via sym-links.
I discussed this idea with several people on the net and got convinced, that
a package with info on how to set up such a directory and some sample files
would help many newbies to manage their Linux (or even *ix) system better.
How to use config:
Config comes in two files. This 'config.readme' and 'config.taz', which is
a gzipped tar file, containing a tutorial, sample files, and a shell script
to set up the symlinks.
DON'T untar it in your home directory. It contains no pathnames. Make
yourself a directory to hold these files. I myself have it in /config,
some apollo users said they would put in in /user-data. The name and
location of this directory really doesn't matter. Untar config.taz there
and read the README it contains.
