The current net code has quite a few bugs in it, and you will get sockets
freezing. People are working on the net code and a patch for this relative
to the new net code appeared on the 'NET' channel of Linux-activists. I'd
still not recommend joining the current alpha testing unless you have a lot
of free time and spare hair.
Sit back, relax and wait - someone is working on it.
