As I have not seen a response to my original post. I am re-posting
my questions individually. Please forgive any duplication as I have
no way of knowing whether my original post made it out onto the net.

My machine: 486DX 33 VESA Local BUS with 8 meg RAM.
245 Meg Harddisk: 80M DOS (stackered),
            100 Meg Linux EXT2FS, 46 Meg Linux EXT2FS,
            8 Meg Linux Swap.
Diamond Stealth 24 VLB SVGA Card

I am running SLS 1.01 (somewhere between Kernel 99p8A and 99p9).
I have the XS3 Server which claims my chipset is an 801 - whatever
that means... I have very good 640x400, 728x534, bad but viewable
800x600, and as yet no 1024x768.

Anyway, My Question Is:

When running X If I overlap windows temporarilly the image of the
top window remains on the bottom window even after the top window
has gone away. I have to redraw the screen from one of the utility
menus (cant offhand remember which). This is highly annoying. Anyone
out there know how I can fix this?

Please responde via email to: kenno@bnr.ca

Thanks in advance,

Ken
