Subject: Help: I can't access my Floppys! (to do sysinstall)
Date: Sat, 8 May 1993 21:35:36 GMT

I was tring to get mtools to compile, it complained, so I stoped and
decided to do it later. Then when I tried to install X11, using sysinstall,
it won't recognize my floppys. I tried rebooting, and I checked the physical
connections, and they still won't go. The odd thing is that I can still
mount them. I tried installing it, directing the sysinstall to the floppy
as the device to use, and it still doesn't see it (When I press return to
accnoledge that the floppy is there, it just ignores me, and goes back to
the same prompt, without the light on the drive even going on.)

I have SLS (installed, and downloaded on the 1st), a 486DX50 VLB, with
a IDE I/O [w/ floppy controller] 'UN-1072 Super I/O card'. The controller
is NOT on the VLB. Thanks for any help.
