I'm posting this here because I've seen many postings relating to
similar problems.
1. df doesn't work any more ?
I went back through the archives for the answer to this one. Thanks
to Stephen Tweedie :
Remove the rdev command from your /etc/rc script, then check that
your etc/fstab file is correct (esp for root). Remove etc/mtab,
shutdown and reboot, and Bob's yer Uncle. It worked for me.
2. When I try to login using a virtual terminal I get 'can't load
library '/lib/libc.so.4'
This one's obvious in hindsight, but isn't everything. Just
check the permissions in your lib files and you may find that
they are not appropriate. Change the offending ones to 755 or
something and no more problems.
Still feeling my way around this Linux.....
