Well, I do. I compiled my kernel for 12 VC and I use many of them.
VC1-4 for my mortal login with one or two emacs and two shells, VC5-8
are for root with one emacs and a couple of shells, VC11 for X and
VC12 for tload. Darn, that only made 8 or 9! But it's always useful to
have some spares.
