I have found problems with NCSA and other unix systems, in particular the unix
box build by my employers "Crosfield Electronics", so the fault is probably
not with Linux itself.

I ended up using the tcpip libraries from Waterloo University in Canada, I'm
not sure whether they have a telnet, but they do have an ftp and all the sources
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
