Sorry about this, but I'm brand new to Linux and brand new to this
newsgroup. Can anyone tell me how to just get started with Linux.
Here's what I'm thinking.
I'll run about a 60MB Linux partition and a 65MB Dos 6.0 partition.
First question, how do I partition the drive. Do I use the DOS FDISK
utility, or is there a utility in Linux.
2nd. This LILO program, I assume it lets you choose which partition
to boot from. If I use fdisk to partition a 65MB dos partition, how
can I access the Linux partition to install Linux in the first place.
Then, since LILO looks to be installable from Linux, how do I get to
Linux (assuming I can get to that partition in the first place and get
Linux installed) to install LILO.
I have read much of the documentation and these are a few of the
questions I've come up with that I didn't really understand from the
documentation.
Thanks for any help.
