Subject: 2.88 floppy; where is Hacker's Guide to Linux?
Date: Wed, 5 May 1993 12:03:01 GMT

Hope these questions haven't been answered already but I've been reading News
less frequently lately and didn't see the answers in the FAQ.

        1) is there a driver for the 2.88 floppy? if not, is the change a
simple hack to the floppy structures in floppy.c? if that's a
dumb question go easy on me, i'm just getting into kernel hacking
and know nothing about the differences in floppies.

        2) In the device driver guide by Robert Baruch (BTW, thanks Robert that
was very useful info for a kernel newbie like myself) there is
mention of the Hacker's Guide to Linux. Is this a guide to kernel
writing? Does anybody know how to get a copy of this and is it
current, in the works, or what? i'd be interested in it even if it
is somewhat out of date. i've been reading kernel sources but
sometimes a second explanation might clarify things for me.

Email is preferred and thanks in advance.
