I just thought i'd throw this into the ring: i don't even have 16550
uarts on my system :-(, but prior to about pl7 i used to get 'bad CRC'
errors if i was doing uploads and loading the system. That was fine, as
zmodem would just do a retry, which would usually succeed. With later
kernels, i now lose the connection completely, so i can no longer compile
anything with X running and do up/downloads at the same time. My house
mate is threatening action on the phone bills!
