I hope I'm going to get Linux soon, and while waiting for the diskettes
I've thought whether my system fits...
Especially, I wonder if X supports my graphics adaptor, a ColorImage 24X.
The card contains the Cirrus Logic GD5422 chip and 1 Meg of RAM and complies
with VESA v1.02. The BIOS version is 1.00d, dated 08/07/92.
The manual also mentions the Acumos AVGA 3 (in brackets behind the name of
the chip, I don't know what that's supposed to mean).
Are there any chances, and if there aren't, how could I write a driver (if it's
not too difficult)?
Could you please a) answer quickly (perhaps I'm still able to exchange the
card, at least for an ET4000)
b) correct the more serious mistakes I made in terms of
grammar, word order etc. (at school, I'm always getting bad
marks for that when doing tests... ;)
