I currently have a slow Trident 8900 SVGA board, and I am thinking of
installing Linux with Xwindows. I have heard that my card will be too slow
to operate efficiently under graphics-intensive X, so I am thinking of
upgrading my Video board. I have heard of the new S3 chip that is being used
by various manufacturers on their accelearator boards. Can someone point me to
a reliable (under Linux environment) and relatively inexpensive board.

The best way to answer is via E-mail:

or you can post an answer to one of the Linux newsgroups (although with
hundreds of messages appearing every day it is hard to find something definite)
Thanks in advance.
