Subject: how much hassle is it to upgrade the kernel?

        Hello, just a quick question: Can anyone give me an idea of how
dependent on the kernel version most binaries are? If I upgrade from
the 0.99 pl4 kernel I'm currently running, will I have to recompile
most utilites?
