Well, at least I hope I fixed it: if people seeing the problems could
try out YAKR (yet another kernel release), you should get the latest
ALPHA-diffs - I haven't read through all the news that have accumulated
over the week yet, but hopefully I've fixed all the problems..

The ALPHA-diff.z file on nic.funet.fi has been updated: it's against the
original pl7 sources (*not* pl7A - I don't keep that good track of my
alpha releases), and for those of you that dislike patching, the full
sources are also available as linux-0.99.pre8.tar.z or something like
that. And in case you don't remember: this is all on nic.funet.fi in
the directory pub/OS/Linux/PEOPLE/Linus.

Aside from fixing the (stupid) keyboard driver bug, I also changed the
signal handling to hopefully fix the last bugs, as well as fixing some
other problems (thanks to Bruce Evans and others for pointing them out).
Also, there are various SCSI and ext2fs patches, as well as updates to
the math emulation code. More details available in the release-mail I
posted to the mailing-lists, or by simply reading the diffs :-/

If the problems go away, please tell me so that I can feel good about
it, and if they don't, please tell me anyway so that I can try to find
what goes wrong. Your personal kernel hacker,
