Maybe you have not enough memory to install Linux with the SLS package.
I have the same problem with a 386SX / 20MHz + 100MB HD and only 2MB RAM.
I installed Linux from a boot/root disk combination found on tsx-11.mit.edu
and then install the SLS package step by step like in 'sysinstall'.
