Subject: either an SLS problem or a kernel problem **HELP**
Date: 31 Mar 1993 05:52:08 GMT

i have an MCS 386/33 with a 32k cache, 4MB of ram.
This machine, when booting with SLS, allows me to choose which video
mode i want (keyboard works at this point). however, when i get
to the menu where the installation floppy is chosen, either the
system hangs, or the keyboard is disabled, as i am unable to do anything.

other notes:

  * linux insists that i have a PS/2 mouse device. the only
things on my bus are a vga card and an mfm controller.

  * everything except for the motherboard has been used extensively
on a 486/33 running linux (very happily) without problems

any clues out there?
