Yes it does! just change the following lines in Ver1.0.tex :

% \setlanguage{\german}
^ or just delete this line
Otherwise TeX ( or is it LATeX) will spit on you with:
"You can not use \setlanguage in vertical mode"
You DO need to have ghyphen.min ghyphen.max and german.sty of course.
