After reading all the docs (i.e. elvisrec) I've
discovered that this is where elvis is supposed to stick
stuff after a crash. I guess I'm generating an interrupt
with the delete key which kills it. Somehow, I thought
elvis stored the files somewhere else as I have recovered
files in the past and I didn't have a /usr/preserve dir.
