A third program which does this is Werner Almesberger's dparam.com,
which is part of the LILO utility. Wait, you say; how can I run
dparam unless I can compile lilo first? Well, a copy of dparam.com
can be found in /pub/linux/misc/lilo/dparam.com on ftp.mcc.ac.uk
[130.88.203.12]. It is 224 bytes long. Type 'dparam' (on a DOS system),
and you will get instructions to use either 'dparam 0x80' or 'dparam 0x81'.
These return sectors per track, heads, and cylinders for the first and
second IDE disks respectively.
