Subject: 0.99.7A bug (keyboard related) ??

I am running 0.99.7A on a 386SX-20MHz 8M RAM with XFree86 1.2.

My system hangs if I am in X and am holding down the backward-char key
in, say, emacs. The cursor moves backward char-by-char, and then the
system hangs after a paragraph of so. It does not hang if I am out of
X.

The behaviour is repeatable everytime after a reboot on 0.99.7A. The
behaviour does not happen on 0.99.7.

I don't think it's to do with emacs on my system, because the system
hanged similarly when I was editing on a dial-in remote machine.
Somehow the auto-repeat in X is interacting with 0.99.7A to hang the
system.

Anybody out there having the same problem? Any clues?

Thanks --- Delman.
