And what portion of the market does BSD have compared, say, to DOS? Between
a tenth and a twentieth. And it's platform independant. We have no choice
but to share the same market space (x86) with OS/2, NT, UnixWare, DOS, Windows,
NeXTstep, Solaris, SCO etc. etc.

And if you think a good product markets itself, why didn't Unix ever take over
the PC market? There have been decent Unixes for a while, and not all of them
were that expensive.

Unix needs to be marketed to be successful just like everything else.
