You should become an alpha tester of the more recent device drivers on
'usra.edu' or 'ftp.super.org'. The sources there include include
installation instructions.

For the user-level support, I recommend using the SLS/b1/tcpip.taz
package, since it's much easier to install. I've written updated
README files which can be found in:
        ftp.super.org:/pub/linux/netinfo/*
