Market, contrary to MicroSoft's opinion, is letting people at least know
that this OS exists as an alternative to DOS. People who have the
knowledge to make informed decisions woul be better ablet o choose the OS
that meets their needs. Right now, most non-net, non-guru, people don't
even know what Unix is, let alow Linux. The purpose of marketing is to
change that.

It doesn't have to be a really agressive marketing scheme. As I said, a
series of press releases to catch the interest of the industry which would
lead to articles. These articles are essentially free advertising that
let people know that linux exists. One people know it exists, then the
commercial industry takes notice and starts producing software for Linux,
and this leads to more people nitcing it. the whole thing snowballs.
