Best would be Linux & OS/2 both multitasking systems!!
easy develop for both, no memory-problems,
if you need, you can get Windosen-software run under OS/2
protected against system crash and with no performance-lost
because of the pseudo multitasking of Windos.
Install NFS and make easy data exchange !!
