From: jkl@hunan.rastek.com (James Keith Losset) Subject: [Q] How to get from SLS 99.6 to (working) NFS ? Date: 18 Mar 1993 19:12:53 GMT
I am atempting to mount drives from Rastek's file server onto the
Linux workstation. I have a fair amount of experience with this,
so I have checked the likely problems. Mount fails due to
permissions from server (13, i think). My machine is in
the /etc/hosts file of the server, and exports are
allowed to all (I think). At least, other machines on the
net that are not configured other than being in the server's
/etc/hosts file work with no complaint.
The only thing I have done is to download the utile-1.4
source from tsx-11 and recompile mount. This mount
reports the problem differently than the SLS 99.6 mount,
but I believe the error is the same. Before I spend
too much (a relative term) time on this, I would like
to know if there is more that needs to be updated before
NFS will work?
Thanks!
