Hehe, FS corruption on an SCO box renamed libc_s on me once. Took me
quite a while to figure out what was wrong. *NOTHING* would run.
Couldn't even shut it down properly. I now have static copy of my own
'cat' and 'mv' commands just for SCO.

BTW, I think I'd wait for sync, and boot a floppy with fsck myself too.
