Well, I probably made a comment that seemed very negative, but I
really didn't mean it to be a flame. I pointed out that there is a lot
of BBS Software already available, both commercial and free, and that *I
thought* most of the Linux folk would be more interested in the
available free stuff, rather than in spending money for a commercial
product.

This should *not* discourage you from attempting the thing. Nor
should it be interpreted as saying you don't have a "right" to sell your
own work. (Far be it from *me* to argue *that* point!)

This is throughly understandable. I have no qualms about your
doing so, but for *just* a bbs package, I'd go elsewhere.

Now, the comments you have made about your mailer :-)

If the mailer is fully compatible with the existing standards,
SMTP, RFC822 et seq, UUCP, DNS, MX records and all that jazz, PLUS it
can deal with and communicate with FidoTechnology Networks, and other
BBS networks, all in one unified, and easy to configure package, then
even *I* would pay quite a lot for such a product.

If I had to buy the BBS system to get it, I'd be real tempted
:-)

But please! Do send me a summary and fact sheet (with prices)
for your BBS product. I do want to include it in the UnixBBS Software
FAQ.
