OK, I hate public replies since they dramitically increase the bandwidth.
However, I figured we need to prevent the spreading of mis-information.
The Linux Kernel source is included in SLS!!! I know this for a fact
since I've recompiled the kernel many times without ever installing an
additional source package. Recompiling is neccisary for adding the sound
driver, removing SCSI support, changing IRQ handling, ...
