Hi,
I obtained Linux boot & root disks from tsx-11 (sls a1,a2).
I have a PS/2 model 70 at work and Amstrad pc1386 4M+ Seagate 80MB SCSI
at home. The disks worked ok at work on the PS/2 machine even though
the FAQ indicated it would not, and at home on my AT bus machine it
froze with the last prompt being scsi host 2 timedout, aborting
command... On PS/2 the boot disk correctly recognized my mouse,
but at home (AT bus) it tought I has bunch of bus mice and loaded m/s,
att, logitech... ! Also at home it correctly recognized my SCSI HD
but when it came to checking partitions
it had the timeout and aborting command. Is there a
boot disk version that will work on Seagte scsi disks? And do you think
I can go ahead and install Linux on my work PS/2 hard disk (even though
I could fool around with the floppy drive and the root disk, I dont
think I saw any mention of recognizing any HD during the boot)?
Thanks.
Osman
