Subject: Kernal recompile failed!!!??

I have had very good luck so far with the new 0.99pl6 version of lenux. But
I am trying to bring up my machine on the network so I have had to recompile
the kernel to include my 3c503 card. When I recompile my kernel It compiles
fine but when I reboot using the new kernel I get Coprocessor not found
errors. I have a 486/SX 25MHz with Local Bus. I have also turned off the
486 optimization flag during compile but I still get the same error.

Could someone please tell me why this is happening and how to correct the
problem.
