Subject: UN:  LINUX KILL COMMAND

I am running LINUX version .98 from SLS and the KILL command does not
kill stopped jobs. Any help would be appreciated. I am a novice at
UNIX and LINUX but have used the KILL command on a UNIX system that ran
System V R4.
