From: barstad@plains.NoDak.edu (Dwayne Barstad) Subject: Problem installing lilo Date: Sun, 14 Mar 1993 09:31:48 GMT
Hello Linuxers,
I just reied to set up lilo with the Quickinst so I could select between
my /dev/hda1 DOS partition and my /dev/hda6 Linux partition at boot... I get
all the way through the Q/A parts of the setup...
Here is the config file created by the Quickinst:
# LILO configuration created by QuickInst Sun Mar 14 03:20:14 GMT 1993
boot = /dev/hda1
install = /etc/lilo/boot.b
compact
delay = 5 # optional, for systems that boot very quickly
vga = normal # force sane state
ramdisk = 0 # paranoia setting
root = current # use "current" root
image = /Image
label = linux
other = /dev/hda1
table = /dev/hda
label = dos
At the end ?? of the Quickinst script it asks if you would like to install lilo
now [Yes]...
After choosing Yes, it comes back with:
Added linux
open /Image.bak : no such file or directory...
Something went wrong...blah..blah..blah..
Please help a rookie and do your deed for the day...
Thanks
Dwayne
