First, for those who will goan about another newbie question
that might have been answer 20 times before... sorry, but
I still want to get Linux up and running so I'm going to
ask anyway...
I'm trying to install Linux with SLS. In reading the docs,
I was not expecting to have trouble getting Linux to
load disk A1 of the SLS package. It starts (at boot up)
and appears to recognize my system configuration (floppys,
IO ports, memory, etc). It also recognizes my Seagate
ST-02 SCSI Host adapter that I have a Seagate 160M SCSI
drive (which has a 30M DOS partition already on it). After
the system recognition I get the following message:
Partition Check
SCSI Host 3 timed out - aborting command
SCSI Host 3 timed out - aborting command
And the system hangs at this point. I haven't found a similiear
situation like this in the FAQ and I'm really stuck this
early in the install game.
Any help/thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.
