One thing that I'd really like, is a text on just how to sysadmin a
linux system. I really have no clue how to do some of the things I'd like
to: i.e. dump a regular passwd file from the shadowed versions,
etc...
I really am clueless about the operation of the boot-up sequence, what
gets run and when, what each file is used for and so on. How to make a
/dev/audio that I can just dump stuff into, like in SunOS.
Can anyone point me to an ftp site that has general sysadmin info?
(I'll try to keep up with this group, but email is safest if you have
a lead.)
