How can we (non-developers) help further the Linux cause, get
our systems up, YET NOT DRIVE THE DEVELOPERS NUTS!
I used to "roll-my-own" with GCC distribution, latest kernel,
latest libc, etc, etc, etc... and just recently went with SLS.
Having spent some time integrating, IMHO, SLS and other distributions
are *GREAT*.
Still, like other happy Linux users, I have questions I post here. Where
does the asking leave off and the complaining begin?
Due to the high volume here, it seems that simply "asking questions
nicely" is still driving key developers into silence, or completely
away! THIS MUST STOP!!
DEVELOPERS: (Linus, H.J., Peter, Matt, Rick, Don, ETC...)
==========
Is there any formal means of bug submission which could be established,
that would not drive you nuts? Other than reading (some people WON'T)
documentation or simply being nice (some people WON'T), is there anything
that can be done?
Having the only PC where I work (Linux via SLS) that has X which can have
multiple telnet sessions in various windows is fun. Especially when the
price is nil!
