From: jkl@hunan.rastek.com (James Keith Losset) Subject: Any Chance of using Ultrastore 34F? Date: Fri, 12 Mar 1993 03:43:51 GMT
I am foolishly starting a dial-up Internet gateway service in the
Huntsville, AL area. My list of goodies to spend money on includes
a 486/66 VESA with Ultrastore 34F, and a copy of Information
Foundation's SVR4.4. At this point, for better or worse, I
discovered Linux. An inexpensive UNIX would ease the start-up
costs (and I bet I could contribute to your community in some
way). The question is... should I ditch the 34F in favor of
something like the AHA 1542B? This would be an easy choice except
for the possibility that I may have to switch to the 4.2 OS if
I determine that *my* customers prefer a commercial OS and I would
like to use the 34F in that case. Has anyone any ideas on whether
this controller would work?
Thanks so much! And keep up the good work!
