I managed to do this by restoring a compressed backup which overwrote
libc.so before uncompress could start up. I managed to fix it by
taking a disk editor on my Atari and mangling the filenames on the

Wouldn't work for me, since I (as `dpg') have write permission on
/lib, and habitually use the force flag on rm. I just have to be more
careful.
