I installed the SLS 99.6 and I'm very happy about it in general. Last night I
also installed X11 and found a couple of problems:
1. For some reason openwin was defined in /u/openwin and wouldn't start. I
changed it to /usr/openwin... and it works great now but:
2. When I exit from X, the screen is all screwed up. My monitor doesn't sync
to the whatever scan rate the card is generating. (Vewsonic 5e, Orchid PD11s).
Does anybody else have this problem? I know X386 tweaks all the VGA registers,
but are there any provisions to restore the original text settings?
Before I waste a lot of time looking at sources, maybe somebody knows the
answer?
