I am sorry to say thath the problem is not solved with libc.4.3.2. I still have
these "sudden logouts". I have been trying to figure out what the problem is
(just observing since i don't have the slightest idea of how the software works),
and i noticed that you are trown out when the terminal is not able to accept the
data offered by the host, this ussually happens when there is a lot of output and
the terminal has to scroll, or when you do some data tranfer (for example sz) and
the data has to be stored to disk.
I confirmed this theory by setting the baud rate to 2400 baud, at this speed
my terminal (and old IBM XT 4.77Mhz) kan handle the data it gets and never logs
out, on the other hand at 38400 baud: ls -l in a big directory is often fatal and
sz of a file larger than 2K is always fatal. I have to login again.
I suppose there is a bug somewhere in the flow control, maybe the guys working on
the serial drivers can solve the problem. I hope this information helps.
