In My experience if the drives are SCSI compliant and work. Any Software
that can Access one of them should be able to work with all of them.

In short if the drives are any good they should work.
I have used :
WangDat 1300XL 2 Gig DAT
Archive 1.3 Gig DAT
Archive 150 Meg 1/4" Cartridge
Tandberg 3660 @50 Meg 1/4" Cartridge
None of them took any special options or setup. They just read and write data
until they hit the end of the tape.
