Like the subject says, I've gotten xgopher and xtiff to complie. Both
pretty much compiled out of the box. I wouldn't recommend doing
xtiff unless you really want to. To compile it, you need a library,
which after much fuming, using 10M of ram and 10M of swap to
create a 400K library, and waiting about an hour, I finally had
it done. The xtiff binary is about 400K and the xgopher is about
800K. If you want them, send me email, and I'll set something up.
I compiled them with gcc 2.3.3, with jump 4.2. If there is enough
demand, I'll upload them somewhere.
If you haven't used xgopher or gopher before, I would suggest it.
It's a neat little program which gives you access to over 500, probably
rapidly approaching 1000, sites world wide. You can do things like
read news, files, grab files, and with the x-version, you can display
images. Pretty neat in all.
If you don't have X, I also have the generic gopher binary. I know this has
been done before, but I never really saw much mention of it so I thought I
would do it again.
