Subject: lprm says too many users

I've been using SLS 0.99pl4 with XFree 1.2 for a few weeks now and
everything has been working just fine. Just recently I decided to try
out lpr and friends. lpr works just fine and so does lpq (except that
it always says daemon might not be running). However, using lprm
always prints the error message

        lp: too many users

and nothing gets removed. lprm is really useful in getting rid of
errant print jobs! Right now I just go in and delete the appropriate
files from the spool directory.

Can anyone help me out here with some hints?

Thanks,

Ray
