Might corrupt your system too ;-) so there's a chance your
system won't boot ...
Another nice horror story .. once did N times "fdisk /dev/sda",
and really tired .. then I typed "fdisk /dev/hda" .. and
edited the table and quit saved it ;-) .. and just after
that realized what happened ;-) .. did not find partition
table from the kernel easily .. and after some minutes
said just 'df' and checked FS sizes. It helped that I knew
partition 1 started about cyl 10 and there was also a hole
between partiton 2 and 3 (bad blocks ...). So testing/booting/
testing/booting few times and everything ok ;-)
