You need to have an hdimage in your present directory. The best place to find
one is /usr/src/dosemu.

: A related question. The emulator requires a DOS diskette in fd0. Since
: DOS diskettes are 360K, should I change anything in /etc/mtools?

First of all, not all DOS disks are 360K. You can have 1.2M, 720K 3 1/2, and
1.44M 3 1/2 DOS disks.

Second, no, you do not need to do a thing to your /etc/mtools directory. It
is EXCLUSIVELY for mtools (mdir, mformat, mdel, et al).

Besides, did you know you could mount DOS volumes? If you want to use your
existing hard disk partition under the DOS emulator, mount it on /usr/dos
(provided the /usr/dos directory exists; do a mkdir /usr/dos) if it doesn't) by
using the command:

mount -tmsdos /dev/(whatever device tickles your fancy) /usr/dos

torch up the DOS emulator, then run the program on "drive" C: called LINUX
and give it a parameter like D, meaning, type the following at your "DOS"
prompt:

C:\> linux d

and it will use whatever's mounted on /usr/dos as drive D:.

Hope all of this helps! Good luck!
