I would try a couple of different ways, and use whichever gets you the best
throughput. Personally I am running into some difficulties in getting news...
I followed the instructions in README.linux in /usr/local/lib/news, and
I even (briefly) saw some articles come into /usr/spool/uucp (i.e. news batches)
however they seem to have dissapeared into the bitbucket... when I checked back
I could not find any articles! AARRGGHH! Any hints anyone?

Other minor annoyances:

I am finally able to send e-mail to and from my Linux box via UUCP, except
if I use 'R'eply in elm - the replies get lost both locally, and from the
outside.

I can't get taylor uucp to talk to my modem at 19.2kbps, I guess it's time
to add a 16550A, even though kermit and zmodem keep up with 19.2...

I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Bill

p.s.

Before I get flamed too badly, which would be the appropriate generic
newsgroup for discussing taylor uucp / cnews / elm / tin / trn / nn
difficulties?

p.p.s.
