A nice suggestion, however if further breakdown of the distribution
is done, I would hate to see news and nn put together with emacs
and ghostscript. Maybe it would be more appropriate to put ghostscript
with the T disks. Anyways, a better way to breakup SLS would be:
N: Network
news, nn, tin, rn, ... and all the other commands
that won't work without a network connection.
G: Games
spider, xtetris, ...
If you are looking for a way to decrease the size of
your root partition, this is a good place to start.
(Even better, if there is willingness to break the one letter
tradition is G & GX disks.)
Why? Programs, like ghostscript and emacs are usable by about everybody.
However, I'm sure there are alot of people like myself who have no intention
of ever hooking there computer up to a network. Since many new users don't
know in advance what the verious packages are for, it would be very convient
to split things up in relation to how they plan to use thier computer.
This has been what has been done so-far with the SLS distribution, and I
for one would like to see this continue.
