Yes. Check your favorite Linux archive site (sunsite.unc.edu, tsx-11.mit.edu).

Many of the answers to questions of this type are included with the
software distribution. In this case, any BSD reference will give you
the information you need. If you are running the net-2 release you can
get the sources for lpd and friends and find all the answers you need.

Assuming that you have lilo installed you can simply type 'linux single'
at the lilo prompt.
